Native File Optimization:
Z-OptimiZr For SharePoint is based, like our other optimization solutions, on what we call Native File Optimization.
Z-OptimiZr Native File Optimization applies to Microsoft Office XML files and image files.
Z-OptimiZr Native XML File Optimization for Microsoft Office files:
MS Office files (like DOCX, PPTX, XLSX etc.) optimized by Z-OptimiZr remain in their native format. The recipients and consumers of the optimized files do not need any specific software to open these files. There is no decompression process required. The optimized MS Office files remain fully standard MS Office files.
Z-OptimiZr Native Image File Optimization for image and picture files:
Image and picture files (JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP, EMF, WMF, TIF and TIFF files) optimized by Z-OptimiZr remain image files once optimized. The recipients and consumers of the optimized files do not need any specific software to open these files. There is no decompression process required. The optimized JPG files remain fully standard JPG files.
The rendering quality of the original files is fully preserved in the optimized files. SharePoint users cannot make any difference between original and optimized files, even when displayed side by side.
Typical residual sizes of files optimized by Z‑OptimiZr:

On the server side, Z-OptimiZr for SharePoint Databases can also provide native optimization for the “old” Microsoft Office DOC, PPT and XLS files.
(*2) Z-OptimiZr Client for SharePoint and Z-OptimiZr for OneDrive also include on-demand single-click on-the-fly PDF conversion for the files to upload. The resulting PDF files are optimized for high quality rendering and low size in KB.
